a 60th birthday card

One of my work friends turns 60 soon and I was asked to make her a card for us all to sign. In fact there are three ladies with 60th birthdays this year, one has already celebrated hers with a party, the other two are quite close together and we are all having a day out at Hyde Hall in May to celebrate theirs. There are two of us who make cards, so the other lady is doing the other card.

As its all of us signing, it had to be a larger card and I immediately thought of my beautiful ornate butterfly die. Using a white 8x8 scallop edge card, I cut the butterfly in gold mirror card and added holographic gold peel offs (from the Glitter Girls) round the edges. Finally more shiney gold peel offs for the text. Simple :)

Happy Birthday Sue! x

  1. Wow this looks as if you've foiled it with gold, if you understand that! Lovely card.
